Nostalgia Tuesday: Me, shirtless with a truck … Like a young Burt Reynolds

Me, shirtless, with trucks

I really did miss my calling as a beefcake model, didn’t I?

(I figure I’ve embarrassed mom enough for a while, it’s time to turn the scanner on myself.)

Nostalgia Tuesday: Mama’s little helper

Mom doubling up on the Miller Lite

Dad is in Pittsburgh this week, so knowing Mom, she’s probably throwing a raging kegger right now and double-fisting Miller Lites like she was in this pic from a trip she and Dad took to the Florida Keys back in the 80s.

HA!

Actually, to anyone who knows my mom, they know the funny thing about this photo is that if she actually drank both of these beers she probably would have been sound asleep in about half an hour.

I’m not sure what my parents are doing in this photo

I'm not sure what my parents are doing here...

I mean, my innocent eyes can only guess what’s going on.

But whatever it was they were up to, I’m glad they did.

Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

As you may notice, I’ve raided Mom’s photo chest again. Those of you familiar with the blog know what that means … the return of the long-dormant Nostalgia Tuesday posts. (Check the category on the right hand nav if you wanna catch up.) Fasten your seatbelts. I’ve got some great stuff!

Nostalgia Tuesday: Boulder Hill

This photo was selected for Jason, one of the few people I know who can truly appreciate it.

For everyone else, just enjoy the sheer 80′s-ness of this picture.

Nostalgia Tuesday: Holiday Reality Check

This is the expression of a kid who will be much more likely to be named “CO-MVP ALL STAR” of his high school chess club, than of any (of the many) sports at which Bo Jackson excelled.

Nostalgia Tuesday: The Real American Hero

I think this was Christmas 1986.

For the whole month of December I’m going to try to do all Christmas photos for Nostalgia Tuesday. We’ll see how it goes.

Nostalgia Tuesday: Thanksgiving 1995

God, I miss this truck. I’m thankful I got to own him for four years.

(If you find him, please send him home!)

Nostalgia Tuesday: Portrait of a Photographer

Three things have not changed since this picture was taken:
1. I still love photography
2. I still love baseball
3. I still hate the Yankees

One thing has changed:
I don’t wear socks like that anymore.

Nostalgia Tuesday: Minnesota 1996

I had Charlie Sheen hair.

Nostalgia Tuesday: Haaaaaapy Halloween!
